The "Fusion Muscle Trikes" idea was born more than 30 years ago, but only became a reality in 2005.
So far we have put in 8 years of research and development. During this time we have designed and built several trikes that have received wide acclaim, both from the public and the media. We were about to go into full production in 2008 when the recession hit.
We decided to mothball the start of the business until the economy improved. We have used this time to further perfect our designs and to add even more accessories to our already long list of custom options.
Well, it's 2013 and the economy has improved but motoring running costs remain a major expense for most households. This makes the timing ideal for the revival of Fusion Trikes as a fun, economical and safe alternative to cars, bikes, delivery scooters and bakkies.
Our varied range of trikes provides something for everyone. We now have 12 unique designs which can be further customized to give each customer a completely personalized vehicle. We build trikes based on both car and motorbike drive trains.

At Fusion Trikes we pay a lot of attention to detail to make your trike as comfortable and safe as possible, and to give you maximum performance and road handling. Details include seat positioning, handlebar design, weather protection ideas, optimum weight distribution and more.
We have luxury trikes with all the bells and whistles, high performance sports trikes with car or bike drive trains, economical commuter and delivery trikes, weekend cruisers and powerful long distance runners for family holidays.
Call us about our "Old School" Specials! Prices now start at around R135,000* for a cool delivery trike or "old school" muscle trike, and rise to about R450,000* for a top-of-the-range luxury trike. (See "Gallery").
Our costs are based on the cost of our donor vehicles, the amount of hand crafting involved in the build, the number of extras a client requires, built-in safety features, and labour.
Our base price hasn't risen since November 2008!

Cost-wise, our opposition is custom-built choppers (2 wheelers) and we are proud to say that we can offer you a far better vehicle with a lot more character, comfort and features than a chopper can, and at a far more affordable price. If you want a chopper, we will build you a 3-wheel chopper!
And we have a wider range of vehicles for a wider range of customer requirements!

Delivery: With a really cool, old-school load bin with a polished wooden floor and chromed strips. Optional extras include a canvas or lockable metal top and lockable tool box. R145,000.
A trike for disabled riders with a click shifter and reverse gear as standard. If you need to carry a wheelchair, we have the option of a vertical cradle on the side or a horizontal rack at the back. This cradle can swivel, either manually or motorised. If the design allows, we can build a storage box and luggage rack for you, too. R165,000.
A Family trike with a small bench seat for 2 kids in place of the boot and luggage rack. You still get the original 2 inline seats. As an optional extra we can build a cradle behind the bench seat for 2 backpacks so you can take the kids to school! R145,000.
