Bike-to-Trike Conversions.

Fusion Trikes designs and builds an innovative range of bike trikes based on (mainly) Japanese superbikes and cruisers but also including BMW roadbikes and Triumph Rocket 3's.
We have chosen to build only shaft driven trikes (as opposed to chain or belt driven) for strength, reliability, performance and low maintenance.
The advantages are that we don't have to spend money on stocking parts for 2 or 3 different drive trains and the customer doesn't have to worry about constantly oiling and adjusting a chain.

Apart from the sheer beauty of a Fusion Trike design, the availability of shaft driven donor bikes in excellent condition is limited, making these trikes even more rare and therefore more valuable and more desirable.

We are offering a small range of 3 bike trikes to begin with to speed up production and get the finished product to our customers as soon as possible, but without compromising on quality of workmanship. We conform to the belief that "you either want it good or you want it fast".

We can add many permutations to these 3 basic styles by allowing the customer to choose his/her own parts styles and accessories, including windshields, paint colour, ceramic coating of manifolds, handlebar design, choice of wheel rims, pinstriping, airbrushing, chroming, seating configurations and much more.

The first couple of trikes will take about 2-3 months to complete, as we must first create jigs and templates. Future orders will be completed much faster once we have these items in place.

We have chosen to build only shaft driven bike trikes for their strength, reliability, performance and low maintenance. Availability of donor bikes in excellent condition and with low mileage is limited, making these trikes even more rare and therefore more valuable and more desirable. The build time is fairly short, so you will be cruising the highways and byways on your brand new Fusion trike before you know it!
You can get a really beautiful 2-seater sports trike on special for only R135,000 + VAT! You can't buy a standard, factory built superbike for that!

More good news is that, as an introduction to 2012 and the rebirth of Fusion Trikes, we are offering our trikes at greatly reduced prices for the first few months of this year, after which prices will revert to normal. This means that these trikes will realise even better returns - should you ever want to sell yours!

The beauty of owning a Fusion Trike - besides the exhilaration of riding such a powerful and exciting machine - is that they don't appear in any Motor Dealer's Manual. This means that there is no yardstick determined by  corporate business telling you how much your Fusion Trike is worth.
This allows the free enterprise principle of willing seller, willing buyer to arrive at a mutually acceptable value. Because Fusion Trikes are rare and they become more sought after, their value is more likely to increase as time goes by.

And the piece de resistance - every Fusion Trike is given a unique name and comes with a "birth certificate", because it has a personality and a presence all its own!
Car-based Trikes.

There is wide scope in this category to build trikes with drive trains from a multitude of different donor vehicles. We must therefore be selective in our choices for pre-manufactured trikes. However, our clients have the option of wanting a certain make of engine, gearbox and differential in their bespoke trike. For example, they may have a Ford car that they want triked. If we think it is a viable option we will build it, as long as it is a rear-wheel drive car. If it is a front-wheel drive vehicle, we can consider building a mid-engined trike, but it leaves a large empty space in front of the driver, which we want to avoid. A rear or mid engined trike lacks balance and symmetry. Our solution is to insert an empty engine block in the front, with the working engine hidden under bodywork behind the driver. This will be a strictly single-seater trike, but an interesting one, nevertheless.

We have chosen to use Rover, Chev, Subaru, Alfa Romeo, Honda and Nissan drive trains to begin with, depending on the style of trike ordered.
The Rover and Chev V8 and Alfa Romeo V6 engines will be used in our luxury cruiser and roadrunner trikes, the Honda engines in the commuter trikes, Nissans in the delivery trikes and Subarus in the commuter and sports trikes.

Normal prices start at R195,000 for a Nissan 1200cc delivery trike with a polished wooden bakkie bin and R295,000 for a Subaru sports trike, and go up to R385,000 for a luxury cruiser.

With our relaunch specials, these prices now start at R165,000 and R265,000 respectively and go up to R355,000 - a R30,000 discount overall!

Of course, you are welcome to come in and discuss your requirements with us. We will fit your preferred engine and gearbox into our frames and you can choose the colour, wheels and many other elements so your Fusion Trike is truly a unique work of mobile art!
